At the Betty Gundersen Studio of Dance they focus on the technique of dance, emphasizing the importance of ballet and proper training. From the very beginning, Betty dancers will learn how to hold themselves with poise and grace; and never sacrificing enjoyment! Miss Betty, as she is affectionately known to all, is the founder and heart of this beloved small town dance studio. Her youngest granddaughter, Avree Gundersen, has stepped up in many ways over the last few years in lead roles and positions with the studio. The Betty Gundersen Studio recently celebrated it's jubilee recital, a truly beautiful and moving show for all who performed and attended. Betty, Larry and their entire family has always welcomed the families of the community and beyond with kindness, a smile and warmth; it is clear to all who walk through these doors and who are apart of this fabulous studio, that this is more than just a dance studio.

I am a little bias as yes, my own children dance at Betty's... but this is also the place where I slipped on my first ballet shoe... where I first learned the difference between a shuffle and a flap. Walking back in as an adult and watching my children learn from the same teachers who taught me, and many amazing new faces has been a dream come true. The smiles and growth, milestones and friendships built... generations have come and continue to return to Betty's. Yes in part because of how and what she teaches... but also because of the warm home she welcomes you into the moment you walk through those doors.
